We did not escape the rain here at the shop, with floods through the ceiling and stranded staff in the countryside. We are very pleased to see the sun shining now!

Congratulations to Rachael Kelly on her new studio! Rachael is one of our favourite local photographers (the other being the esteemed Fiona Andersen!). Rachael opened her new studio, above the BNZ, last week. How she manages to do all this with the role of school teachers wife and 5 children of her own as well, I'll never know. Well done Rachael! Potty Training! Ever wondered when the right time to start is, what method to use, do boys take longer to train than girls??? There are a myriad of questions and a huge range of information sources out there! The first thing to realise is that all children will be ready in their own time. They won't toilet train like your best friends toddler, or even like their brother or sister did! You will have to try the approach that suits your child's nature. But as with most things children will respond to praise and encouragement.Set backs are inevitable - but if we handle these calmly and re-focus attention back to the potty, the accidents should lessen. The website link below is a rather good summary of how to approach to potty training topic. Just remember it takes time and we all had to go through this at some stage ourselves!!!!!! :-)
